“It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the newly established Integrated Design Program and Department at KFUPM. The Integrated Design Program is a leading interdisciplinary program being offered for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. We developed the program to be based on combining knowledge from different fields, including design, computing, engineering, and business. We also ensured to include knowledge from the latest fields of technologies such as 3D design, AI, digital twinning, and mixed realities (AR,VR & XR). The ITD program has been in development since 2020 and took its first batch of students, and offered its first courses in the Spring of 2022. Following that, in May 2023, the ITD Department was established. The program's goal lies in its motto; its a program "where interdisciplinary truly happens".
