The Integrated Design (ITD) Program

The integrated Design program at KFUPM is a new program established in 2022 that deals with design solutions, in which design in composed with engineering, computing and business. ITD focuses on solutions rather than the end product, which makes it more comprehensive than other design disciplines. 

The Main Characteristic of the ITD Program

  1.  ITD is an interdisciplinary and integrated program that utilizes the university’s expertise in fields related to design and focuses on digital design foundations.
  2.  ITD is developed in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 planned goals to support its technological needs by focusing on local content that requires unique designs, user experiences, and quality of life.
  3.  ITD aims to take the lead in providing commercialization opportunities for its graduates who are qualified to be leaders and entrepreneurs.
  4.  ITD gives students the flexibility to choose from a wide range of subject-specific electives to better suit their individual’s plans and current and future market needs. – Enables KFUPM’s core expertise to be expanded into various new related fields that use design as a base of its work.
  5.  ITD is the first interdisciplinary design program of its kind in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
